Chief Executive Officer of OTLEN.
AI infrastructure for healthcare and biotech revenue.

Profile

I lead OTLEN, where we build the AI infrastructure behind revenue operations for healthcare and biotech. Our systems connect clinical, financial and research data into a single operating core, so hospitals, clinic groups and life-science companies can see where value is lost and act on it early.

01/Mission

Healthcare should spend its attention on patients and on research. Today too much of it goes into reconciling systems that were never designed to work together.

At OTLEN we treat that as an infrastructure problem, and we build AI agents that sit across the handoffs where revenue and time are lost.

Every claim, prior authorization, trial invoice and patient record passes through a chain of handoffs between people and systems. Each handoff is a place where value can leak. Our agents predict where those handoffs will fail and act early. Decisions that need clinical or financial judgment stay with people.

We serve two kinds of organizations. For health systems and biopharma, the work is unifying research, clinical and commercial data. For private clinic groups across Southeast Asia, it is revenue operations that run on their own.

“We’re in the faulty wiring business.”

Mirror Review, September 2025

The platform connects EHR, revenue cycle and laboratory systems into one data core, uses AI models to predict revenue leakage and patient churn, and triggers the follow-up work automatically.

In June 2026 OTLEN was invited to join Anthropic’s Claude Partner Network, which extends how we deploy Claude-based agents across hospital systems and private clinics.

03/Principles

How I lead.

“When the ‘why’ is clear, you find the patience for any ‘how.’”

Mirror Review, September 2025

  1. (01)

Start with the patient and the clinician.

Every system we design begins with the person waiting for care and the person giving it.

  2. (02)

Judge AI by what it changes.

Revenue per patient, capacity used and leakage recovered are the measures we report on.

  3. (03)

Automate the handoffs, keep the judgment.

Agents carry the routine work between systems. People make the calls that need clinical or financial judgment.

  4. (04)

Build infrastructure for the long term.

Hospitals and research teams need systems they can rely on for a decade, and we design for that horizon.

04/Background

Background.

My path into healthcare ran through private investing.

Through my firm, JJ Richman, I spent years studying how organizations create value and where they lose it. The discipline that carried over into OTLEN is pattern recognition. I have Asperger’s, and it shapes how I see an organization: as a system of patterns first.

In 2024 my father fought cancer, and I lost him. Seeing the system from the family’s side made its cost personal, and it is a large part of why this work matters to me.
